Description
The objective of checkers is to take all of your opponent's pieces or put them in a position where they can no longer play.
Checkers is played on a square board divided into 100 equal squares,
alternately light and dark.
It is played on the darker squares of the board (50 active squares).
The board must be placed so that the first square on the left for each player is a dark square.
Checkers is played with 20 white (light) and 20 black (dark) checkers.
Before starting a game
the 20 black checkers and 20 white checkers are placed on the first 4 rows for each player.
