2-vinyl collector's album Plastoy Hajime No Ippo

Published in 1989 in "Weekly Shônen Magazine", George Morikawa's "Hajime no Ippo" has become a cult sports manga over the years, and to this day remains one of the longest-running river series, still in publication, with over 130 volumes. It was only natural that an animated version should see the light of day in 2000, produced by Madhouse, under the nom of "Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting!" with 76 episodes (covering the first thirty volumes of the series). It tells the story of Ippo Makunouchi's rise from high school to the world of professional boxing. Now here's a selection of the best anime music with a rock and jazz flavour and a final destination: the boxing ring! Three composers worked on this selection: Tsuneo IMAHORI (TRIGUN and GUNGRAVE), Hideki TANIUCHI (in collaboration with Yoshihisa HIRANO on DEATH NOTE) and Naoya MORI.
